Statement From Senator Jack M. Martins
Jack M. Martins
May 11, 2015
“Earlier today, I joined with members of the Senate Republican Conference in electing Senator John Flanagan as the new Senate Majority Leader. Having worked closely with Senator Flanagan since entering the Senate, I am certain he will do a great job for Long Island and New York, and I offer him my congratulations.
Our conference remains united in focusing on priorities which are important for both Long Islanders and New Yorkers in every region of the state; cutting taxes, controlling spending, and growing our economy. Focusing on those issues over the last four years has helped put New York State back in the right direction. With several weeks remaining in this year’s legislative session, we must continue making progress on these issues and delivering real results for our residents.”
