Cortlandville FD Names Seward Honorary Member

CORTLANDVILLE, 01/23/15 -- State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I – Oneonta) was honored recently by the Cortlandville Fire Department. At the department’s 2015 Inspection Dinner, Senator Seward was named an honorary member for his longstanding and continued support of the first responders.
“I was tremendously humbled to receive such a meaningful honor from the Cortlandville Fire Department,” said Senator Seward. “The men and women who fearlessly respond to when called and put their lives on the line to protect others are true heroes. I have always done all I can to help make their job safer and easier and am truly appreciative of this great tribute.”
The plaque presented to Senator Seward reads:
This plaque is presented to James L. Seward bestowing upon him Honorary Membership in the Cortlandville Fire Department for his resolute support of the Emergency Services. We hold in high esteem your immense interest in the needs of responders and the great care you provide to us through your efforts as a Senator. For those reasons we consider you not only an Honorary Member but a dear friend.
