Klein Presented with Legislative Achievement Award at 37th Annual Leadership Breakfast
BRONX, NY - State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester), together with Bronx elected officials, civic leaders, and local community members, was honored by the Jewish Community Council of Pelham Parkway at the 37th Annual Leadership Breakfast on Sunday. Klein was presented with the Legislative Achievement Award for his outstanding accomplishments over his more than twenty year career in public office.
“As a lifelong Bronxite, I am proud to say that this community has significantly influenced who I am today, and ultimately, led me to pursue a career in public service,” said Senator Jeff Klein. “I’m proud to represent the residents of the 34th Senate District and honored to fight each and every day to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Jewish Community Council of Pelham Parkway for this important award. I look forward to our continued partnership as we work together to strengthen our neighborhoods and enhance Jewish life in Pelham Parkway and beyond.”

The 37th annual awards breakfast included a keynote address from Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie. Also in attendance were Joseph McManus, Vice Chairman of the Bronx Democratic Committee, Captain Timothy McCormack and Detective Victor DiPierro of the 49th precinct, and the P.S. 83 Community Services Club.
The Jewish Community Council of Pelham Parkway has served the Bronx for more than 35 years. The Council is committed to improving the local community through expanded advocacy efforts on issues ranging from social services to housing to commercial development and more.
