Klein Brings Together Community to Celebrate the Spring Season -- Local Families & Children Dance, Play, Create and More
BRONX, NY - State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester), joined by nearly 200 children and families, hosted his annual spring children’s festival at the St. Theresa School in Pelham Bay on Saturday. The fun-filled event featured face painting, a DJ, bouncy bounce, craft table and more.
“The spring season is a time for outdoor activities and fun-filled celebrations. I’m proud to host this year’s spring children's fest -- bringing together Bronxites of all ages to celebrate the season and enjoy some time with friends and family,” said Senator Jeff Klein. “Without a doubt, today’s festival was a huge success and I’m grateful to all who came out to join the celebration. I wish everyone a happy and healthy spring and summer here in the Bronx.”
At the spring festival, children danced to today’s top hits, had their faces painted and played a variety of fun games. All attendees enjoyed treats and snacks including hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and juice. In celebration of spring season, children also participated in a special arts and crafts project -- decorating flower pots to take home, along with a gift of seeds and soil.
