(Middletown, NY)- The Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) is a partnership with the Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC's) and is an oppurtunity for the communities of upstate New York to address the economic challenges of their regions and work together in bringing jobs back upstate. The URI focuses on 7 upstate regions, including the Mid-Hudson Valley. The three regions that make the most compelling argument will be designated as "Best Plan Awardees" in the URI competition and will receive $500 million each that will go to projects identified by the REDC's
In an effort to solicit as many good ideas as possible for the Upstate Revitalization Inititative application on behalf of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council, Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress has launched an idea solicitation website with corresponding Twitter and Facebook accounts. Ideas can be submitted through the HV Revitalize webiste, but a Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) still must filed in order to access funding. The deadline for the CFA is 4:00 PM July 31, 2015.
