(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) announced today that the State Education Department has launched an extensive online survey on the Common Core standards. The survey was been developed as an effort to draw feedback from parents, teachers and school districts, all of whom have been affected by the implementation of Common Core. The survey will be open until Nov. 30th.
“The Senate Republican Conference has been adamant since day one, that the implementation of Common Core has been severely flawed,” said Bonacic. “I encourage all parents and students in the 42nd Senate District to make their voices heard and take this survey. I have seen firsthand the effect that Common Core has had on New York’s Students, and I hope that the State Education Department will use the feedback they receive in this survey to move forward with a fresh approach.”
