(Albany, NY)- Senator Bonacic announced the passage of two bills by the New York State Senate that would strengthen penalties for meth related crimes and prevent use of parks or playgrounds for drug activity. Senate Bill S.1150, and Senate Bill S.994 would combat the spread of methamphetamine use in New York and stop parks and deter drug dealers from selling in parks and playgrounds.
“By passing these two bills, the New York State Senate is taking a stand to combat the drug problems that are plaguing our communities,” said Bonacic. “Children and parents should not have to worry that playgrounds and parks are safe from drug dealers.”
The bills have been sent to the Assembly.
