SENATOR BONACIC PRESENTS TOWN OF NEW PALTZ POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH CEREMONIAL FRAMED PLAQUE OF LEGISLATION THAT BECAME LAW IN 2015

(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) presented the Town of New Paltz Police Department with a plaque, last week, commemorating the signing of legislation into law, that allowed current Police Officer Ronald Stroh to take the Police Officer exam after returning from military service. Mr. Stroh was 2 years past the required age to make him eligible to take the exam when he left the military. Senator Bonacic sponsored legislation, that was subsequently signed into law, allowing Mr. Stroh to take the exam. He was eventually hired by the Town of New Paltz Police Department as a full-time officer.
Senator Bonacic presents the plaque to the Town of New Paltz Police Department. Accepting on behalf of the Department was Detective Sergeant Scott Butler.
