SENATOR BONACIC RECEIVES A GRADE AS PART OF THE NEW YORK STATE ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICIALS 2015 LEGISLATIVE REPORT CARD
October 14, 2015
Senator Bonacic has been awarded an A grade from the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO) as part of their 2015 Legislative Report Card. The report card grades state legislators on their votes on funding proposals and legislation that impacts school finances, during the 2015 legislative session. Legislators received grades of A thru F on their votes regarding the school aid portion of the State Budget, changes to the tax cap, and ten bills that would impact school finances.
Nine out of the ten bills legislators were graded on would save school districts money or improve their business operations. The remaining bill, which NYSASBO opposed, would increase capital construction costs for school districts and their taxpayers. Senator Bonacic was one of only 44 legislators in both the Senate and Assembly who was awarded a grade of A by NYSASBO.
“I am proud to be recognized by NYSASBO for my continued advocacy on behalf of parents, teachers and students in NY,” said Bonacic.
