(Middletown, NY)-Senator Bonacic is pleased to announce that he has secured $50,000 for Safe Homes of Orange County to be used for programs that prevent domestic violence or aid victims of domestic violence in Orange County. Safe Homes of Orange County is a private, not-for-profit agency established in 1986 to provide comprehensive and confidential domestic violence services to victims and their families. The mission of Safe Homes is to work to eliminate all forms of domestic violence through education, outreach, and provision of services to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
“Safe Homes of Orange County provides essential services and educational programs to those who have been victims of domestic violence,” said Senator Bonacic. “By providing these resources we can take a big step towards one day ending the scourge of domestic violence, and at the same time empower victims to seek help when they are attacked.”
“Senator Bonacic has been a longtime supporter and friend to Safe Homes of Orange County, said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director of Safe Homes of Orange County. “His unwavering commitment to survivors and their families has had a significant impact over the years. Funding has allowed for the continuation of vital programming that provides healing and support to those accessing services. Domestic violence impacts everyone within a community and working together is when we can have our greatest impact.”
