Senator Bonacic Statement on the Confirmation of Judge Stein and Judge Fahey to the New York State Court of Appeals

(Albany, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, released the following statement on the confirmation of the Hon. Leslie Stein and the Hon. Eugene Fahey to the New York State Court Appeals.

“Both Judge Stein and Judge Fahey have much legal and judicial experience and are well qualified to sit on the bench of the New York State Court of Appeals. With the full Senate voting unanimously to confirm their nominations, it is my hope that they will remain independent, be fair arbiters of the law and continue to uphold equal justice for all New Yorkers.”

Prior to their confirmations, Judge Fahey served as an Associate Justice of the NY State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division, Fourth Department (Buffalo), while Judge Stein served as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Third Department (Albany).
