August 11, 2015
Senator Bonacic was pleased to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon on the campus of SUNY New Paltz for Ridgeview Hall, a modern 225 bed residence hall that will begin housing students this fall. The 69,000 square foot facility is the 14th residence hall on campus, and with its completion, will allow SUNY New Paltz to house 3,250 students. Construction of the $33 million residence hall got underway in December of 2013 and created 170 construction jobs.
Joining Senator Bonacic at the ribbon cutting ceremony were members of SUNY New Paltz’s administration, including President Donald Christian, a representative from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), and a representative from Assemblyman Kevin Cahill’s office.
