Senator Serrano Co-Sponsors Town Hall on Roosevelt Island

(Roosevelt Island, NY) - Senator Serrano joined Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and other colleagues at a town hall meeting on Roosevelt Island. The lively town hall was widely attended by Roosevelt Island residents, community groups and local agencies. 

"We had a tremendous turnout of residents who came to speak to us about the issues they care most about," said Senator Serrano. "It was a spirited discussion in which I focused on the need to preserve affordable housing on the Island and urged Roosevelt Islanders to remain active in the community so that they are part of all discussions of future development plans for Roosevelt Island. Many thanks to Assemblywoman Seawright and her staff for organizing this important meeting."
