(Roosevelt Island, NY)- Senator Serrano hosted a Town Hall Meeting with New York City Public Advocate Letitia "Tish" James at the Good Shepherd Chapel on Roosevelt Island. Also present at this Town Hall were Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright. At the end of the program, Roosevelt Island residents had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Public Advocate James on a number of important issues.
"This town hall served as a great opportunity to engage community members with our NYC Public Advocate," said Senator Serrano. "Residents were able to learn more about the work their elected officials are doing, while making plans for future steps to ensure residents are getting all the services they deserve. Many thanks to Tish James for a very informative and productive town hall meeting."
During the event, Senator Serrano took time to honor Dominic Sciallo, his honoree for the NYS Veterans Hall of Fame, by presenting a resolution to the Roosevelt Island Seniors Association in his honor.
