(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano joined community residents and the New York Police Department (NYPD) in honor of the 2015 National Night Out Against Crime. National Night Out is an annual event created to heighten crime and drug awareness, generate support and participation in anti-crime programs, and to strengthen the neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships.
"National Night Out is a great opportunity to build closer, more productive relationships with the NYPD," said Senator Serrano. "During this event, police precincts all across New York City lead block parties filled with music, games, food and useful information for neighborhood residents to enjoy. I commend all the local organizations and elected officials who participated in this year's festivities and help make this event a success year after year."
Senator Serrano presented proclamations to the precincts that protect the 29th Senate District, commending them for their work and service.
