Senator Serrano Joins Council Member Gibson's "Know Your Rights" Housing Workshop in The Bronx

(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano co-hosted a "Know Your Rights" housing workshop organized by Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson with the Urban Justice Center at the Hope of Israel Senior Center. The workshop focused on evictions and how to protect yourself from getting evicted and what you should do if you find yourself in that situation. 

"Knowledge is power and knowing your rights is extremely critical when facing a housing issue," said Senator Serrano. "This is why I feel it is important to understand housing laws and how they protect tenants. Many thanks to the Urban Justice Center for arming my constituents with the tools they need to fight an unfair eviction and stay in their homes."
