(South Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano joined New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Chair and CEO, Shola Olatoye, Congressman Jose E. Serrano, and residents for a press conference at Mitchell Houses announcing the launch of the MyNYCHA mobile application. The new smartphone app will allow NYCHA residents to more easily request important housing repairs and track the status of those requests.
"As we shift towards a digital society, it is very important for government agencies to keep up with current technological advances and move services online. I applaud NYCHA for improving communications with residents and launching the MyNYCHA mobile application. This app will simplify the repair process, but also keep track of the status of repair requests. It will serve as an effective way for residents to receive updates on any important happenings in their buildings. This is surely an important step towards streamlining the repair process and ensuring that all NYCHA residents' needs are taken care of in an efficient matter," said Senator Serrano.
