(New York, NY)- Senator Serrano expressed his thoughts on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's plan to expand programs to keep New Yorkers in their homes and keep neighborhoods affordable. The city will make a $6 million investment that will ensure four Bronx buildings will be guaranteed affordable to low-income tenants for 30 years.
"In order to preserve the diversity and vibrancy of our neighborhoods, we must not only keep people in their homes, but work towards guaranteeing the safety of these residents. In a city that is rapidly changing, we must provide a sense of stability for New Yorkers. Many thanks to Mayor Bill de Blasio and Housing and Preservation Commissioner Vicki Been for protecting New Yorkers," said Senator Serrano.
