(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano held a joint Constituent Services Hours and IDNYC Information Session at the Highbridge Senior Center in the Bronx. IDNYC is a new municipal identification card for New York City residents. The card serves as a government-issued photo identification card and allows card holders to access services and programs offered by the City and local businesses.
Representatives from IDNYC joined Serrano's staff during his off-site constituent services hours. The representatives helped constituents fill out applications and provided informational guides with information on their benefits and where and how the card can be used.
"IDNYC offers tremendous benefits for New Yorkers, especially our most vulnerable communities who may experience difficulties in obtaining a government-issued ID," said Senator Serrano. "Many individuals who had difficulty getting the services they needed due to lack of identification, can now get the necessary assistance. This card provides tremendous benefits for all New Yorkers, such as free one-year memberships at many of the City's leading museums, zoos, concert halls and botanical gardens. Many thanks to the representatives that came and helped individuals learn more about this terrific card."
