Release: Addabbo to Hold Annual Job Fair
September 16, 2015
Howard Beach, NY (September 16, 2015) Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is preparing to host his annual Fall Job Fair next month, set to feature approximately 1,000 potential positions to offer.
More than 70 vendors will gather at Atlas Park in Glendale on October 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to take part in Addabbo’s yearly Job Fair. The event will host private companies, non-profit organizations and city, state and federal agencies, who will all have representatives on hand to accept resumés and answer questions from job-seekers in attendance.
Addabbo’s job fairs in the past have attracted thousands of city residents looking for employment, and the fall event offers a perfectly timed opportunity for employers – especially retailers – to hire additional staff members just as the holiday shopping season approaches.
“Searching for a job can be a very overwhelming experience, and many people don’t even know where to start or who to contact,” said Addabbo. “That’s where this job fair comes in, bringing together businesses and individuals seeking employment all in one place. Nobody should have to struggle to find work, and I am happy to be able to host events such as this one in order to help people find jobs.”
The job fair is free to attend for both employers and for those looking for a job. Any businesses or organizations who currently have job openings and wish to participate should contact Addabbo’s Howard Beach Office at 718-738-1111.
