Senator Parker Notes Positive Economic Impact of MMA Events in New York
Albany, NY – Senator Kevin Parker (SD21) meets with Ronda Rousey MMA star and Ultimate Fighting Champion for 2015. The Mixed Martial Arts bill S.2159 has passed the Senate successively for the past five years. Senator Parker stated that "It is projected that MMA events in New York City venues such as Barclay Center and Madison Square Garden would generate $16 million per event; $135 million in economic activity, and the creation of 950 jobs in entertainment venues and the hospitality industry."
