Senator Parker Toy Drive Collects Over 800 Toys for Central Brooklyn Kids
December 14, 2015
Brooklyn, NY -- State Senator Kevin Parker (D-21) partnered with local businesses and organizations to distribute over 800 holiday gifts to Central Brooklyn children at the Senator’s Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive.
“We too often forget that the holiday season is meant to be a time of giving and
caring for each other, not a time for focusing solely on oneself. That’s why
every year I host an Annual Toy Drive to ensure that any child who needs, can
receive.” said Senator Parker. “It must be a joyous time for all of New York’s
children, not just those whose parents can afford the best for them. I am proud
that young people in my district had their days brightened with gifts all their own,
and know that their families and our community care just as much about them.”
Toys for Tots Toy Drive partners included the Delta Rho Omega Chapter of
Alpha Kappa Alpha, Healthfirst, MetroPlus, WellCare, and Target. Donations
from constituents and friends of the 21st Senate District and neighboring
communities also helped to make the event a success.
