ALBANY, N.Y. – Senator Marc Panepinto released the following statement:
“I am humbled that my first co-sponsored bill passed in the State Senate creates the Homes for Heroes Program, which sets aside state grants for expanding affordable and accessible veteran housing in New York. Our disabled veterans should not have to return home and struggle with living comfortably, safely, or with dignity, due to inaccessible housing. This bill will ensure that whether it is through retrofitting their current home, or upgrading a new one, that will never be the case again.”
S.2316 (Homes for Heroes): Authorizes issues guidelines for granting contracts to disabled veterans eligible under the home for heroes program.
