ALBANY, N.Y. – Senator Marc Panepinto released the following statement following Governor Cuomo’s State of the State address:

“Today, Governor Cuomo outlined an ambitious policy agenda which addressed expanding opportunity for all New Yorkers and investing in the state’s economic future.  I look forward to working with the Governor, and anyone willing, to finally take on these important issues such as increasing the minimum wage, investing in our infrastructure, reducing middleclass property taxes, and restoring the public’s confidence in our Criminal Justice system. I also applaud the Governor’s proposed student loan assistance program which is a necessary first step in reducing the skyrocketing cost of college tuition in New York State. Finally, I will not back down from defending our public schools. I will fiercely advocate for the restoration of public education funding back to pre-recession levels so that every child receives the quality education that they deserve. I’m committed to delivering results for the hardworking people of the 60th Senate District and am ready to serve as their representative in the battles that lie ahead. “
