HALLOWEEN FUN AWAITS AT WILDLIFE CONSERVATION SOCIETY'S PROSPECT PARK ZOO AND NEW YORK AQUARIUM

Boo at the Zoo at the Prospect Park Zoo will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
New York Aquarium Ascarium weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Prospect Park Zoo Boo at the Zoo Highlights include face-painting, crafts, pumpkin treats for the zoos’ animals, and much more.
Boo at the Zoo weekend activities at the WCS Prospect Park Zoo include:
Discovery Center – The zoo’s interactive play center will be open both days with games and crafts, all decorated for Halloween. (11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Pumpkin Treats: - Dingoes and baboons will get treat filled pumpkins (Dingoes at noon and baboons at 2:30 p.m.)
Meet an Animal – See a scaly creature at the Conservation Station (1 and 1:30 p.m.)
Spooky Science – Easy but icky science experiments will take place at the Conservation Station (11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
Face Painting – Zoo-goers will get in the spirit of the holiday with colorful face painting. (Noon to 3:00 p.m.)
Costume Parade and Dance Party – Children will participate in a fun costume parade and party throughout the zoo. (Parade Time: 3:45 meet at barn; Dance Party is following the zoo’s 4 p.m. sea lion feed)
Scavenger Hunt – A frighteningly fun adventure awaits visitors as they explore and discover the zoo. (2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Spooky Barn – The barn area will be transformed into a haunted habitat, decorated festively for Halloween. (Please note: This activity is for older children. Noon to 3:30 p.m.)
Wildlife Witch Shows – These educational shows will include live animal encounters as part of the fun. (Show times are 11 a.m., 12, 1, 2, 2:30, and 3:30. in the Zoo Theater.)
Batty for Bats – Zoo volunteers will talk to guests about bats in the dark Nocturnal Exhibit (1 to 5 p.m.)
Sea Lion Demonstrations – Both days at 11:30 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m.

New York Aquarium Ascarium Highlights are marine-themed magic shows, 3D pumpkin carvings, crafts, and more.
Ascarium weekend activities include:
Thrilling Magic Shows – Magician Steve Rodman hosts the “Marine Mystery and Mischief Magic Show” that will show visitors how scientists go about discovering the amazing mysteries of animals, which include making observations, developing questions, and forming hypotheses. (Show times: 11:30 a.m., 1:30, and 4 p.m.)
Wildlife Theater Presents: Under Sea Mysteries – Three short plays will reveal some of the fascinating mysteries of marine life. Puppets are the stars of these humorous and educational presentations. (Show times: 12:15, 2:15, 2:25, and 4:45 p.m.)
3D Pumpkin Carving: - Sand Sculpture USA will carve a giant pumpkin into a beautiful aquatic scene of New York’s coast, featuring whales, sharks, and other animals that live here. (Both days, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Sea Lion Celebration – The aquarium’s daily sea lion presentations will add in some Halloween-themed narration throughout the shows (11 a.m., 1 and 3:30 p.m.)
Treat Stations – Treat stations stocked with all kinds of goodies will be located around the aquarium. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather dependent)
Spooky Crafts – Young artists will choose their favorite marine animal and make a mask for Halloween trick-or-treating or decoration. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Marine Animal Mystery and Mischief Stations – Aquarium volunteers will be available at exhibits to discuss the aquarium’s animals and answer visitor questions about marine wildlife. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
