Message From Con Edison

January 27, 2015
Extreme weather can cause outages. We're prepared. Here's how you can be ready, too:
-Report power problems right away at 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633) or conEd.com, or with our My conEdison app for Droid or Apple devices.
-Check our outage map to verify whether we know about your power problem.
-Sign up for our text message service by texting REG (734) to OUTAGE (688243). Then, if you lose power, text OUT (688) to OUTAGE. Get details
-Make sure your flashlights and battery-operated radios work.
-If you lose power, turn off lights and unplug appliances so circuits don’t overload when power is restored.
-Stay clear of downed power lines – they may be live and dangerous.
-Use candles and lanterns carefully. Keep them out of drafts, away from flammable materials, and out of the reach of children.
