Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is announcing free mammography screenings events, in conjunction with the American Italian Cancer Foundation, offered aboard a mobile care clinic that will park outside both of his district offices.
The events are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2015, at his Bay Ridge office, located at 7408 5th Avenue in Brooklyn, and for Friday, June 12, 2015, outside his Marine Park office located at 3604 Quentin Road in Brooklyn.
No cost mammograms will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both dates. An appointment must be made by calling 1-877-628-9090. Women interested in appointments must be over 40 years of age and have not had a mammogram in the past year.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to partner with The American Italian Cancer Foundation to make free mammography screenings available for those eligible. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives, and I encourage those who have not had a mammogram in more than a year to make an appointment. It is important to stay informed, stay healthy, and get screened.”
