SENATOR MARTY GOLDEN URGES YOU TO GET YOUR FLU VACCINE AHEAD OF WINTER SEASON

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing a partnership with Coney Island Hospital and the Visiting Nurse Services of New York to host a series of free flu shot events. Each year, Senator Golden offers opportunities to his constituents ahead of this Winter season for senior citizens, uninsured residents, and those who the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene are encouraging to get the annual influenza vaccine.
Free flu shots will be available to the community on:
*Thursday, November 12, 2015, Bay Ridge Manor, 476 76th Street (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
*Friday, November 13, 2015, Senator Golden’s Office, 3604 Quentin Road (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
*Tuesday, November 18, 2015, Our Lady of Grace, 430 Avenue W (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
An appointment is necessary and can be made by calling Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I am proud to again partner with Coney Island Hospital and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York to make the flu vaccination available at no cost to residents of my district. I wish to remind everyone how important it is to get a flu shot so to keep from falling ill this winter. I look forward to joining my neighbors at these events and promoting good health in our community.”
