Free health services, screenings and information from 90 organizations
Amherst, NY– A total of 90 organizations will provide health information, services and screenings to residents at Senator Ranzenhofer’s Family Health Fair. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st from 9 a.m. to noon at the Amherst Senior Center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway in Amherst.
“You, and your entire family, can take advantage of all of the health information available at my upcoming Family Health Fair. A number of organizations will be offering a wide variety of screenings, services and more. I hope that you will join us on Saturday, August 1st because it’s never too late to get healthy,” said Ranzenhofer.
Screenings and services available to attendees include:

- Blood Pressure Check
- Bone Density Heel Scan
- Cholesterol Screening
- Foot Screening
- Glucose Test
- Hearing Screening
- Medicine/Prescription Review
- Mental Health Screening
- Prevnar Vaccination

- Skin Cancer Screening

Senator Ranzenhofer’s 2015 Family Health Fair is co-sponsored by Kaleida Health and the Amherst Senior Center, in conjunction with Assemblyman Raymond Walter and Assemblywoman Jane Corwin.
“This year’s Family Health Fair is going to be fun and educational. Everyone in attendance will have access to important screenings and information that will ensure a happy, healthy life. I hope all my Western New York neighbors and their families can drop by to take advantage of all the medical professionals in our community have to offer,” said Walter.

I want to thank my colleagues, Senator Ranzenhofer and Assemblyman Ray Walter, for their continued commitment to this outstanding annual community event. Given the vast number of vendors offering free services that promote maintaining good health and a healthy lifestyle, there will definitely be something for everyone at this year's Family Health Fair,” said Corwin.
