Statement from Senator Venditto Re: New York's Property Tax Cap

"Today, I voted to make the state’s Property Tax Cap permanent. The Tax Cap has been a landmark measure which has proven to be one of the most successful tax relief initiatives in State history. In fact, over the past four years the property tax cap has saved hardworking homeowners across the state more than $7.6 billion. Unfortunately, this important law will expire if the State Legislature doesn't act soon to extend the tax cap or make it permanent. By working together, we can get the State Assembly to join with us in protecting and extending the tax cap without delay."
