More than 50 local children joined State Senator Patty Ritchie at Watertown’s historic Flower Memorial Library Tuesday evening for “Stories With Santa,” an event that featured readings of classic Christmas tales by Santa Claus.
“Northing says Christmas quite like jolly old St. Nick,” said Senator Ritchie. “I’m pleased that so many children and families were able to join me to hear Santa Claus read some of his favorite classic stories, and would like to wish them all a continued holiday season of health and happiness.”
Classic Christmas books read by Santa Claus included “The Polar Express” and “The Night Before Christmas.” In addition to listening to stories, attendees also enjoyed Santa’s favorite snack—cookies and milk.
