Event to Take Place at SUNY Oswego, Will Feature Free Bus Transportation

State Senator Patty Ritchie is reminding Central New York seniors she will host her Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness fair on Wednesday, September 23^rd.

Held at a new location—SUNY Oswego’s Swetman Gym—and running from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the event will feature nearly 50 exhibitors offering wellness advice and health checks, entertainment and free flu shots, available with your Medicare or insurance ID. In addition, attendees will also be invited to enjoy a free lunch made possible through special funding secured by Senator Ritchie and prepared by the “future chefs” at Oswego CiTi.

“Each and every year, seniors look forward to my Health and Wellness Fairs, which are essentially a one-stop-shop for accessing the information and tools people need to improve their well-being as they age,” said Senator Ritchie.

“And, these events are more than just an opportunity to get health and wellness tips, they’re a place where seniors can enjoy a free lunch and entertainment, as well as connect with friends. This year’s event will be better than ever, and I’m looking forward to welcoming Central New York seniors to it.”

Senator Ritchie is also reminding seniors that free transportation, made possible by Exelon and Oswego County Opportunities, will be provided. A schedule of bus service is as follows:
