Expansion, Upgrade Will Spur Growth, Development, Jobs For Champion Community
State Senator Patty Ritchie praised Town of Champion officials for investing in the future of their community to spur economic growth and create jobs at the groundbreaking ceremony for the sewer district expansion and upgrade project.
“It’s exciting to see Champion moving forward on this very important project to make it possible to bring new growth, new jobs and new development to our area,” said State Senator Patty Ritchie. “That’s why I secured $50,000 to help the community reduce the cost of this project and help make improvements to the Taylor Road snowmobile bridge.”
“When we make investments and improvements to our infrastructure like this sewer project, we make it possible to develop new housing, expand our economy and bring important new opportunities to the area,” Senator Ritchie said.
“The $50,000 in funding for this project secured by Senator Ritchie is a huge boost for the Town of Champion,” said Town of Champion Deputy Supervisor Bruce Ferguson. “With these investments to advance our infrastructure, Champion will remain a great place to live, and an ideal location to attract new businesses.”
The project will help expand Champion’s sewer district to include the Cole Road, Farney Pit Road, State Rt. 26, and help employers like Caskinette Ford and the Carthage Central School District.
