Bronx Elected Officials Will Celebrate Black History Month
You should know that Assembly Members Michael Blake, Luis Sepulveda and Marcos Crespo are joining me to celebrate the “African-American Abrazo” to honor some distinguished members of the African-American community.
This “African-American Abrazo” will be celebrated tonight at Maestro’s Caterers located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue, starting at 7PM.
During this banquet – which has been called by some the biggest Black History Month event in the Bronx – we will honor: New York State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Leader of the Senate Democratic Conference; Ms. Neva Shillingford-King, Executive Vice President of 1199 SEIU; Rev. Dimas Salaberrios, President of the Concerts of Prayer Greater New York; and Mr. Abraham Jones, the Executive Director at Claremont Neighborhood Centers, Inc., in the Bronx.
You should know that guests are by “invitation-only” – and the press is welcome.
This is Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz, and this is what you should know.
