SERINO HONORS LOCAL VETERANS WITH APPRECIATION DINNER

WAPPIGERS FALLS, NY—Senator Sue Serino (R, C, I—Hyde Park) honored local veterans at an appreciation pasta dinner on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Wappingers Falls VFW Post 5913. The event drew almost 200 veterans and their guests

“While words are rarely enough to truly thank our veterans—and their families—for the countless sacrifices that they make on our behalf, it’s important that we take every opportunity to show our gratitude and that’s what the event was all about,” said Senator Serino. “It was an opportunity for local vets and their guests to come together, share a meal, learn about some unique resources available to them, and more importantly, to remind them that they have an incredibly grateful community behind them.”

The dinner was part of a series of veterans’ appreciation dinners hosted by the freshman Senator. The next event will be held in conjunction with Senator Terrence Murphy and Putnam County Executive Maryellen O’dell on November 1, 2015 at the Putnam County Golf Course.
