A new funding opportunity was unveiled today in Albany for school districts across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, and statewide.
The goal of the new state funding is to expand the use of locally grown foods on school menus by connecting local school districts to local farmers and producers.
According to today's announcement, New York's "Farm to School" program is making $350,000 in grants available for projects to assist Pre-K through Grade 12 schools.
