Ithaca, N.Y.—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) will hold a community meeting in Ithaca on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Tuesday’s meeting in Ithaca is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Tompkins County Public Library (BorgWarner Community Meeting Room, 101 E. Green Street).

O’Mara said that additional meetings will be scheduled in towns and villages throughout the remainder of his 58th Senate District, which is comprised of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates counties, and a portion of Tompkins County (the city and town of Ithaca, and the towns of Enfield, Newfield and Ulysses).

The meetings are informal and open to the public.  They’re aimed at giving local residents an opportunity to directly share their concerns, opinions and suggestions for better government.

“These community meetings provide area residents with an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing debates over taxes, economic development, education, environmental conservation, health care, mandate relief, transportation and other key issues," O’Mara said.

O’Mara stressed that any local residents unable to attend the Ithaca meeting can contact him directly to share specific concerns and suggestions.
