Statement from Senator Catharine Young on Ripley Train Derailment Response
March 2, 2016
“It is miracle that no one was hurt from the accident and we are grateful for that fact. It’s times like these that remind us how fortunate we are to have such outstanding first responders. Local, state and federal emergency personnel are working together to resolve the danger posed from the derailed propane cars and ethanol spill. It is unfortunate that so many families have been displaced and I am hopeful they are safely back in their homes shortly. We thank everyone for their leadership, professionalism and cooperation,” said Senator Catharine Young.
