Today, the New York State Senate confirmed Lt. Colonel George Beach, of Hurley, as the new Superintendent of the New York State Police. After meeting with Lt. Colonel Beach and discussing his extensive accomplishments within the ranks of the State Police, I have great confidence that he has the experience, courage and conviction to excel in this new role.
Our State Police are at the front lines of keeping our communities safe throughout the State of New York, and I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Lt. Colonel George Beach, but more importantly, thank him for deciding to continue in public service by taking on this ambitious challenge. I am sure he will continue to protect and serve with great honor and distinction.
