State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting with Program Coordinator Valerie Smith (pictured far right) of Schenectady County Community College (SCCC) in regards to Schenectady Smart Scholars Early College High School on Feb. 9th in Albany. It is a partnership between the State University of New York (SUNY), SCCC and Schenectady High School with the intent to establish a collaborative learning and teaching environment for incoming 9th graders. All partners are committed to facilitating positive, transformational changes which provide for a more successful and wide reaching program for a target student population. Senator Farley also spoke to (left to right) Tyasia Bonds, Blessin Gree, Josh Sheridan, Jovaun Taylor about the program.
