State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting Northville Central School senior Angel Warner on Jan. 21st in Albany when he presented her with a State Senate Resolution and a Senate Medal of Achievement for her humanitarian efforts in the Fulton County area.
For over a year, Ms. Warner has been collecting personal care products, baby products and other needed items for local homeless and domestic violence shelters. Called “Shelter’s Wings,” Ms. Warner’s efforts also included setting up an online account for monetary donations at www.gofundme.com/shelters-wings. Her most recent efforts include selling T-shirts with the profits going towards shelters. Information on that endeavor can be found at https://sites.google.com/a/northvillecsd.org/ncsd/home/student-of-the-month/helpangelhelpothers
Last October, Ms. Warner was honored with the Visions of Hope Award from the Fulton County Domestic Violence Task Force for her dedication to helping others.
“You are a role model for not only your peers, but also for adults in your community. Your passion and commitment to helping others shines through in your project,” Senator Farley told Ms. Warner.
