Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) announced that he has secured state funding for the East Williston Library to enhance its technology and services.
The Library is utilizing the $10,000 in state funding to purchase new computers for use by patrons and staff. Additionally, the library will also be introducing a series of courses to teach community residents about computer literacy, resume writing and job searching.
“The East Williston Library is providing the community with two important benefits through this funding; new technology and new training opportunities to help improve residents’ chances of obtaining employment. In the digital age, where computer skills and access are absolutely essential, these are very necessary services,” said Senator Martins. “I’m pleased to help the Library enhance the services it provides to the East Williston community.”
“The East Williston Library is grateful for the support that Senator Martins has given to our library. We are excited to enhance our offerings to our patrons,” said East Williston Library Director Susan Corsello.
