Senator Martins Secures State Funding For New Technology at Carle Place Schools

     Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) announced that he has secured $20,000 in state funding for the Carle Place School District to purchase new educational technology for students.  The technology will be utilized in Carle Place High School’s new Library Media Center.

     The district will be adding 10 Next Unit of Computing units, which are tiny PC computers that take up a minimal amount of space on a worktop, monitors and a new wall mounted TV monitor.  The new, state of the art equipment will be used to supplement instructional lessons. 

    “Modern technology affords us some valuable tools which can make a huge difference in education.  Carle Place Schools have been very proactive in taking advantage of those tools to make lessons more interactive, enjoyable and effective for students.  I’m pleased to help them continue their important efforts,” said Senator Martins.
