May 9, 2016
BRONX, NY – In celebration of Mother’s Day, State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) hosted a bingo night at Clason Point Gardens on Friday. The women of Clason Point gathered to enjoy an evening of fun, food, prizes, and games.
“Mother’s Day is an opportunity to honor the women in our lives who have made immeasurable sacrifices. Tonight we celebrate the unwavering commitment of mothers to both their families and their community. I am proud to sponsor events like Clason Point Mother’s Day Bingo, so that we can come together and enjoy one another’s company during this fun-filled evening,” said Klein.
“It’s a good Mother’s Day because Senator Klein walked through the village of Clason Point Gardens with nothing but kindness to mothers who may not even have a son to celebrate this ongoing holiday,” said Geraldine Hopper, president of Clason Point Gardens Tenant Association.
Senator Klein will continue to host a series of bingo events throughout his district in the upcoming months.
