Senator Bonacic Secures $50,000 Grant for The Town of Wawarsing to make Electrical Upgrades and Install a Generator at Town Hall, and Install a Charging Station at Lippman Park

(Middletown, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has secured a $50,000 grant for the Town of Wawarsing that will help allow them to install a generator in their Town Hall, as well make necessary electrical upgrades for the building. The money will also help the Town install an electronic car charging station at Lippman park. The money was obtained through the State Municipal Grant Program.
“The installation of a generator and electrical upgrades at Town Hall will save the taxpayers’ money, and allow the Town of Wawarsing to continue to serve its residents in the event of a prolonged power outage,” said Senator Bonacic
“On behalf of the Town Board, I would like to thank Senator Bonacic for obtaining this $50,000 grant that will allow the Town to make improvements to the Town Hall, and continue to allow residents and visitors to enjoy the many recreation opportunities Wawarsing has to offer,” said Town of Wawarsing Supervisor Leonard Distel.
