Senator Flanagan Visits Kings Park Art Students
June 24, 2016
Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently had the opportunity to join with Kings Park students to celebrate their artistic endeavors. Invited to visit the children by Mr. Kevin Storch, Principal of Park View Elementary School, and Mrs. Stephanie Montecalvo, Principal of Fort Salonga Elementary School, Senator Flanagan visited four students to celebrate their inclusion in a recent statewide art display.
The four students, Gavin Marzigliano and Jenna Quinn from Park View and Ava Martinsen and Brooke Scannevin from Fort Salonga, recently showcased their work as part of the Annual Statewide New York State Teachers Association Legislative Student Art Exhibit: A Celebration of Young Artists, held recently in Albany.
“It is always wonderful to see young students take an interest in art and I thank them for visiting with me. Clearly, their interest has been nurtured by their art teacher Michele Lipinsky as well as all of her colleagues and I applaud them for enabling all of their students to get involved in the arts,” stated Senator Flanagan.
