The New York State Senate unanimously passed Senator Serrano's bill, S956, designed to help keep our beloved state parks and historic sites clean and beautiful by increasing penalties for littering on state park lands.
"This bill represents an important step towards protecting and enhancing our state park lands by creating a stronger deterrent to littering. It is important that we all work together to make sure our beloved State Parks are kept clean and inviting for future generations to come."
This is the third year in a row that Serrano's park littering legislation has passed the Senate. The bill will now be sent to the Assembly, where it seeks action.
