Senator Serrano welcomed the opening of a new community health center in the South Bronx that will offer primary care to everyone who needs it, regardless of ability to pay. The new facility will provide primary care, dental, child and adult behavioral healthcare, specialty services, and an on-site pharmacy. The site will be able to treat over 10,000 patients when at full capacity.
"Many thanks to Mayor de Blasio, the New York City Economic Development Corporation and the Damian Family Care Center for opening this new state of the art facility in the South Bronx. This community health center will have the ability to serve up to 10,000 new patients regardless of their ability to pay. This center will be an incredible tool in combating the health disparities that have plagued the South Bronx for far too long."
