Senator Serrano joined New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul for a tour of Per Scholas in the South Bronx. Per Scholas is one of New York City's largest workforce developers and has worked to break the cycle of poverty by providing technology access and education in under-served communities for over 20 years.
"I was happy to join our Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul for a tour of Per Scholas Inc. in the South Bronx. Technology is becoming an integral part of our society and plays a significant role in the future of our economy. Institutions like Per Scholas are very important to workforce development in the 'digital age.' Many thanks to Lt Gov Kathy Hochul and the office of Governor Andrew Cuomo for their commitment to the South Bronx!"
