Statement by Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. on Passing of NYPD Captain Matthew Hanrahan

"For more than two decades, Captain Hanrahan dedicated himself to protecting the citizens of our city and to making New York a safer place for all of us to live. His bravery and his sacrifices will certainly be remembered, along with his passion and commitment to the job he loved and the community he loved serving. My thoughts are with Captain Hanrahan's family at this time as well as the officers of the 100th Precinct in Rockaway as we mourn the tragic loss of one of the NYPD's finest members."
